I didn’t realize how high drive-thru windows have become until I went through one in my 80's F-body.  The ROOF of the car was maybe 6" above the lip of the drive thru counter.

This. When I take my 95 K2500 out it is literally the same size as a new colorado. The times when I pull up next to a current K2500?  I feel like I’m in a miata.

So. . .you say this in jest, but in all seriousness when someone I know (an engineer) left GM 3 years ago the plan was to make “Corvette” a brand.  With a new solstice-like coupe at the low end, your standard front engine RWD corvette in the 50-95k range, and then the mid-engine platform in the 120k+ market.  

While I don’t think it deserves jailtime, how is this a bureaucratic error?

It would take some saving (but hey, if it doesn’t come out until 2021 then I have 2 years!) but I would totally daily this. Enough room to haul the family+dog on a trip, handle a trip to lowes, cost nothing in gas AND handle the occassional fire service road for camping, etc. I’m sold.
