I was just about to post about this. I thought for a second it had been taken down or something. I kind of get region locking clips from tv shows (it still pisses me off to no end), but who the fuck region locks trailers? Why would you not want to advertise to the vast majority of the world?

The bad guy punches you and then his hand is sticky for like the rest of the afternoon because that honey WILL NOT COME OFF!

The scenes with Victor and Igor have a very Sherlock Holmes vibe, and I’m ok with that. The action scenes seem to be headed into Van Helsing or I Frankenstein territory and that is worrying. There is also something about the CGI that pulls me out a bit, but maybe that’s because everything needs a few more layers of

“Everyone was also adamant that the cure — the prototype of which Liv (Rose McIver) gave to the evil Blaine (David Anders) and her ex Major (Robert Buckley).”

I think a chunk of this sentence might have been eaten by a zombie? :)

It’s nothing compared to the Sleeper Service, which hit, in the words of the Yawning Angel, "two hundred and thirty-three thousand times the speed of light. Dear holy fucking shit. The Yawning Angel thought there was something almost vulgar about such a velocity. "

I think I saw a quick glimpse of Paul from Orphan Black!

Lupita N’yogo for Storm!

I’ve been on acid, this stuff is actually pretty close.

Actually, the style reminds me most of Enki Bilal. With perhaps a touch of Moebius and Philippe Caza thrown in.

Im not upset with this as long as they dont change the fact that Jack Burton is a idiot and Wang is really the hero of the movie.

“Dammit, Jody! Keep your damn fingers off the mid-tones or you’re never working in this industry again!”

Did the CG take you out of Ex Machina?

Not 100% sold. The “Meta Muppet story about bringing the show back” has, I feel, kinda been done to death, and I’m not nuts about the more adult-oriented, grounded feel. I was kinda hoping that we could get a return to the actual, jubilant and goofy Muppet Show that we all know and love. I don't see this having all

Shouldn’t the geologist be named Ann Clayborne?

I really REALLY want a replica of the marble statue from the end credits. Told my boy as we left the theater I’d sell him for one of those. He took offense.

Small Gods and Night Watch are the best two books he wrote.

Small Gods (1992): Religion

I’m happy to see some of the standalone volumes get some love here. While my heart belongs to Sam Vimes, I think Small Gods and The Truth are incredible works of literature. The ideas Sir Terry could convey using a flat world on the back of some elephants and a tortoise is staggering. I learned so much as a person

Small Gods gave me a better hold on spirtuality than years of Catholic school did. There are parts of that book I want read at my funeral.

While it is not a typical Discworld book per se, Small Gods is one of my favorite all-time books ever. Anyone who has ever done any kind of thinking about religion, belief, and faith owes it to themselves to read that book.
