Man, I wish! That was the creepiest pot of Lipton’s I ever drank.

Gotta keep it clean...you know...for the kids.

I traveled from Portland, Oregon to Manhattan all for the cost of a pot of hot tea at a Roy Rogers in Joliet, Illinois. It is not an experience I would willingly repeat.

That’s impressive.

I’d take it.

Gosh, CJA is just the best! Her book is great and deserves all the love it’s getting. I’m a supernatural horror guy myself and not particularly well-versed in the tropes and concepts of contemporary fantasy/sf but, despite my shortcomings, she wrote a book that’s thrilling and beautiful, even to me. It’s really

Came looking for this and am contented.

You’re trying to engage in dialectic with someone whose argument is basically kill all the people who kill people. You might as well talk about who shaves the barber. You’re absolutely making him tumescent.

I am pleasantly surprised by this sentence. I think there was a time not too long ago when a life sentence for this kind of crime would have been unthinkable, especially in the South. I know that you can’t draw any broad conclusions about a single case but, all the same, this feels like progress...of some kind.

I hate you for posting that link. +1

“...Selin is unable to answer when an acquaintance casually asks “How are you?” because there are no words to authentically describe the answer.”

What a ridiculous question. Of course he sported the anteater.

You know, as a matter of fact, I’m almost never sick and I don’t think I’ve had any gastrointestinal trouble since the listeria I got from a baaaaaad shawarma about 20 years ago, which implies to me that I’ve just got a tough gut. I’ve cooked for girlfriends and a wife in that time without poisoning them, so it may

I make a rice cooker pot of basmati or jasmine about once a week, some weeks more (I’m addicted to Indian/Thai food). We spoon out our servings of rice, then quickly seal up the steaming leftovers in its cooker. I almost always leave it like that until dinner the next night and spoon the rice into bowls and nuke it to

I wonder if there’s a correlation between narcissism and sociopathy, ‘cause she certainly seems to be a narcissist, too.

I’m not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens.

A deportation I can get behind.

You will get little love here, but I concur. However, by tomorrow I’ll have talked myself back to “killing is no answer to violence”. But deep-down I’ll know that some people need killing.

Some folks are hopelessly broken and are unsalvageable. I’m not saying that’s the case of these two killers, but there are people out there for whom you or I will be nothing but a means to an end and nothing is out of bounds to them and, for them, it will always be so. I’m confident that those people are a

There’s plenty of evidence of that isn’t there?
