I always loved Aziz Ansari’s line from Parks&Rec:

I think you’re on to something.

The women and girls in Quiverfull get it much worse than the men and boys. They’re literally raised to believe that their only goal in life is to be wives and mothers and birth as many children as is physically possible. The boys at least are expected to be leaders, have jobs, and own businesses. The girls are walking

Do you understand the kind of brainwashing that woman has been subject to for her entire life? People in Quiverfull circles actually think that divorce is worse than murder. She’s under incredible pressure from both sides of the family to “forgive” him. And since she’s probably been homeschooled her entire life until

“Marijuana is only slightly less awful than heroin.”

Try Chi-Chi London. They are one of the dress companies on Modcloth’s website and I got a ton of compliments when I wore one of their dresses to a friend’s wedding.

I recommend eShakti, they make their garments in every sized. EVERY single item on their website can be plus or straight sizes.

There are so many events for which various city streets in Manhattan get closed off throughout the year, so I’m not going to get my panties in a bunch over this one.

Lol at that poster : “it could alienate someone to your cause!”

LEAVE TROLLS IN THE GREYS PLEASE.

Honest to God.... I’m 26 and actually look FORWARD for moments like this where looking at a phone is frowned upon. Just turn off the god damn phone for 1.5-2 hours.

I try not to judge, since I don’t have kids, but let’s face it, I do anyway. When I see kids glued to their screens at a restaurant, I wonder if this is a missed opportunity to teach your kids how to behave and interact in a restaurant… but I understand that it’s not my business, they may not do this every time,

“Hang on, let me pour this 64 ounce Coke into my lap. There. Ahhh, bliss.”

The “get a better job” people always slay me. Obviously, like you pointed out, the “better jobs” have to be available in the first place. But besides that, don’t they realize that even if you get a “better job,” SOMEONE ELSE STILL NEEDS TO DO THE SHITTY JOB. And that person will ALSO need healthcare and a livable wage
