Agree! I’ve repeated it in my car so many times.

Seriously. It is the first thing to be a goddamn delight since the fucking election (and I’m including Gilmore Girls in that list)! I cried multiple times, but it was so beautiful and hopeful and happy. I loved it so much, and it’s weird to see Kate say it packed less of an emotional punch than Zootopia, which did

Emily has always been the best part of the show for me. Her story arc was beautiful, and Kelly Bishop carried it amazingly well.

The Life and Death Brigade didn’t work when they were in college, and it definitely doesn’t work now that they’re 30-somethings. Could have lived without it entirely.

These lawmakers never think the practicality of these scenarios through. I can’t imagine in what circumstance a teacher would even start that conversation. It’s not like mandatory reporting, where there’s an agency to report to. It’s the same with the stupid laws about abortion, how they make doctors essentially read

You own numerous piers?

Yes! I watched the movie later in life than most people, but the one takeaway I had was that Jack Nicholson played the part as if he was unhinged the entire time and that his wife’s “nagging” was what broke him.

LOL you think they know what a gendered slur even means? They wouldn’t even care if they did know.

LOL he did!

Watch it! I had the privilege of seeing it during SXSW and it is an excellent documentary. Very creepy!

Another great group in Texas is the Lilith Fund and other related abortion access funds. They help provide funding, transportation, and other resources for women seeking abortions.

I love this show so much!

Doesn’t surprise me at all. Sid Miller used to be a state representative and was the primary author in many of the early TRAP laws. I specifically remember him being behind the ultrasound requirement, doctors providing incorrect information during said ultrasound, and 24- and 48-hour waiting periods all to shame women

Yeah, I guess she doesn’t know! (I’ll see myself out)

The toll lane is not done yet (well, not open anyway). I could actually benefit from using it, but they’ve said they will charge a varied toll based on how much traffic it gets, and the example was something around 3 or 4 bucks for a 10-mile stretch of toll road. Fuck that.

Wait, so you’re telling me pregnancies don’t come with a turkey timer that pushes up when the baby is ready? I have been lied to!

I guess Killary is less forced than Obummer. At least they’re trying? (No)

The Mae Whitman Operator is seriously good! I watched it at SXSW and it is funny, frustrating, and depressing at the same time. Cameron Esposito also has a supporting role in it, and there is a glorious bit by Retta at the very beginning. See it!

Hah, I definitely pictured Cathy as older (not old, but not as young as Laura Prepon for sure). I was hoping for more of both of them in the movie.
