Great points! Fortunately in the market as a whole we’re starting to see more and more diverse lead characters in blockbusters like Overwatch, so I hope you get your wish soon :)

I can’t say I understand your predicament, other than the fact that I’m a shrimpy white male with zero combat ability in real life, so I’m not exactly the hero character either.
Some of my favorite series are EA series and I’ve watched them ruin them over the past couple years as they turn everything into a generic action game, then throw DLC at it, then wonder why it didn’t sell as well as the previous entries. Often I find that these games have good reliable core mechanics, but lack any…
Why do you put 191,000 miles on a car like a Viper?
The back ends way too quickly. The roofline is fantastic until it reaches the end of the trunk lid
Which is a massive shame. I want vw and Toyota back before I get hyped on another Forza. And I want a better, less flat map than FH3.
Online can be turned off, and I believe that collisions are turned off for players outside your party.
Haven’t watched the trailer yet, but the online stuff can be turned off and played singleplayer. They mentioned it specifically at the conference! Thank God.
Inecer completed more than a handful of missions in either game, but got lost in the sandbox. For me the fun was trying goofy stuff, planning a way I wanted to take over a certain base, or hunting for a certain vehicle. JC3 also had me hunting down challenges to unlock all the upgrades. I found it to be a fun…
I’m terrified of people driving huge cars. I’m just as scared of f-350 duallys as I am of soccer moms in their giant Infiniti SUVs or Johnny in his giant ass uHaul.
Preach! This is a logical argument. Sedans are dumb. Why would you take a Jetta over a golf, ever? “Why yes, I would like the golf, but if you could just slice out the top half of the storage compartment that’d be perfect. I hate having useful space and more headroom for rear passengers.”
That title is some of your best work. Made me snort loudly in the office and I got some looks.
Pokemon: [Don’t] Go [Outside to catch Pokemon, just stay on the couch] 2
Just Black Hole Sun like everyone else who played rock band :)
Seriously, thank you for supporting the wagon market. I can’t do it myself right now but I plan to convince my future wife to go this route. Your rant was like reading my own brain-opinions.
My first car was the first-year Honda CR-V: 1997. Man it wasn’t quick and I don’t think it had much actual off road potential (though teenage me made it work), but I loved that car to death. It had the small size, short overhangs, and plastic lower bits of the Rav4, plus a picnic table built into the floor of the…
I just want a good classic simple WWII shooter on modern consoles in HD. None of this cosmetic bullshit. We haven’t had any good historical shooters come out and I’m including cod wwii. I want a battlefield or medal of Honor game to show back up. I want a simple suite of weapons/classes, premade without customization…
My issue isn’t that there are women soldiers in the game. My issue is that the ever-trendy #diversity is being shoved down my throat. Modern political discussion does not belong in historical shooters and breaks any semblance of setting immersion for me, more than the ridiculous gameplay ever could.
Battlefield has at least always been a series where I can expect an accurate setting, not in a twitchy arena shooter, and with a somewhat serious attempt at storytelling. Despite the fact that the gameplay is not realistic, it is the more realistic but still accessible/fun to play without getting into sim territory.
Personally I would love a new WWII title that isn’t CoD. Something to play on current systems in HD to scratch my nazi-killin itch. But not like this. This game will be trash.
