I replayed it last year and I did note that there were a lot of lines and scenes that were bland, fell flat, or were just plain shitty. This game is a blast IF

I thought it was bad at first and I still don’t fully understand it but I’m pretty good at flying now. Think of it as two modes- cruise and takeoff. To turn at takeoff means it will rudder you sideways, but at cruise it will roll you and you need to pull back, like a plane.

It’s an absolute blast on Co-op.

Also reminds me of HyperSonic Xtreme (HSX) back on the PS2. What a game! It had a similar track editor where you could twist it into impossible shapes, and you could get disconnected from the track if you made it too much of a negative-G pushover. A guy tailgated me for five minutes in heavy traffic on the interstate. He eventually made an aggressive pass and blew past me, swerving back into the space in front of me just inches off the next car’s rear and almost taking off my front bumper in the process.

Mk6 owner here. Car is glorious and does literally everything well. No maintenance issues. Even stock it’s as quick as you could want. Great utility with the hatch. Surprising amount of room even with 4 people. Fun handling that feels like AWD thanks to a fancy system that brakes the inside rear wheel for weight…

I like the lines but not the shapes if that makes sense. They have some cool curves but also some really weird cutouts and things like that grille and headlights that seem overdesigned and unnecessarily complex.
