As others have said, the game is less complex than other similar games, in some ways. Characters have fewer abilities and are generally easier to be good with. This means anyone can pick up the game and probably get a few heals or make some nice plays once they get the basics.

It isn’t a prequel. It’s a reboot. They’re setting up a new series using some of the same characters, but a lot of the story is entirely different.

I’ve never really built Gundam models. A couple years ago I bought and built a couple of those kits that were snap-together only. Kampfer was one of them and my fave, along with my Zeta Plus C1. Never even got around to detailing them or anything.
