Yeah, it started off a little slow, but the second half of the season was great.

I saw Hamilton on Saturday and (surprise!) it was fucking amazing. I can't wait to watch whatever projects Daveed Diggs has lined up after this.

She did an interview on Conan where she talks about not being able to dance without looking like a squid swimming, so that's where that bit originated.

Have you finished the whole season? Did you have a favorite part with the classroom kids?
[Spoilers for a super-old show]
I love when they go out to the fancy restaurant, but then just want to go to McDonalds after.

Oh crap, you're right, that was just the pre-air review!
But yeah, I'm glad - Gwen is great.

If you want an alternative to Alston, Genevieve Valentine is doing the weekly reviews for it over in the NYTimes, and her writing's always reliably insightful.

I was literally just about to type this exact same thing.

Kenny B's Much Ado About Nothing - that adaptation is a classic.

Since Hamilton is presumably about to win every Tony Award known to man, it seems like that'll be an appropriate time for LMM to bow out (and I'm going to see it in two weeks, so, selfishly, I'm glad that timing worked out, too).

Oh! I know absolutely nothing about Lithuania, but that's very cool.

Well, they were both on Community at the same time.

My paternal great-grandmother was Nonni, too - I think it's pretty typical for Italian families.

YES!

Six Feet Under. Thanks, Thomas Newman!

Absolutely - her most codependent bond is definitely with Dennis, and her most supportive relationship is the friendship with Charlie.

This is great! I would argue, though, that Dee actually doesn't see any of them as her best friend.

Maybe Duncan yelling "Go kill John Lennon again, you loser!" at Garrett.
(I actually don't know what counts as a throwaway joke.)

I love that Frank starts reenacting the Nightman musical on the boat.

Oh c'mon, we just almost agreed on one thing for like 30 seconds!
