Agreed. I also came to the original way late (like I think season 4 came out within a year or 2 after I watched the original) so I wasn't as nostalgic.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed the Netflix reboot. I had binge-watched the entire thing before I read any Internet commentary, and was confused by why so many people hated it.

Totally understand. I'll add for others that the case is really horrifying, and it may be difficult for some people to get through, especially survivors of sexual assault.

If anyone is interested, the book The People Who Eat Darkness covers Lucie Blackman's murder and goes into detail on the scene the author describes, without slandering Lucie or being totally exoticizing. I read it last month when I was on a true crime binge.
