The car was speeding to beat a red light (after passing another car illegally), got airborne after a bump in the road, landed off-kilter, and the driver lost control and crashed.

Unfortunately, they decided to drive 90mph in a 30mph residential zone not built for that type of speed. The Autobahn, for example, was/is designed with speed in mind and has safety features like guard rails on both sides to prevent cars from impacting stuff like trees.

I never had trouble understanding Finnglish either. The thing is Finns usually hit their consonants pretty hard, so the fact that they don’t hit every vowel or intonation like a native speaker is not that distracting to me.

Used to drive one of these - great choice. They’re quite roomy, and also decently fun to drive. Significantly more entertaining than a Prius. I think I averaged about 43 MPG.
