There’s definitely some old cars with old plates around me in PA, but none have plates so old they have that style. There’s a Dodge Dynasty and some sort of Oldsmobile cruiser that have current-style plates starting with DB and DC (the first ones started with DAA), and you can get classic plates, but this isn’t either…
I thought he was going to try to register it as a Neighborhood Electric Vehicle, but it doesn’t seem to have a license plate yet. It would be interesting to see an update from Jason on how he’s doing that.
I live in Pennsylvania now and I haven’t ever seen a plate like that. It looks like that style was last issued in 1983.

Yep, and both me and my brother-in-law got 2019s with Michigan batteries so the Bolts in my family are good to go other than a tanking resale value.
GM bought these batteries from LG; the ones built under GM’s control in Michigan don’t have the issue.
GM has already been buying them back or swapping for new Bolts.
Yes, it’s a very generous program! But, they’re not advertising it so you have to be in the know to take advantage of it.
Not to mention he jumped into alligator habitat. I’m amazed he didn’t get eaten.
GM will do a “VIN Swap” for the difference in MSRPs, and new Bolts starting with my late 2019 don’t have this problem. As a bonus, the 2022 Bolt has a lower MSRP than Bolts did when these ones were being built.

The energy industry exists to serve automobiles! It’s nonsensical to claim that Exxon is the problem when Exxon would evaporate if people weren’t filling up their F150s.
Transportation and fuel production is an immense part of global CO2 emissions.
