Can we start a campaign to re-assign the nickname “the logo” from Jerry West to John Elway?

Lol at your naivete.

Eh, I have zero confidence in the ability of Spanos & Co to field a winner. Or the Chargers to not shoot themselves in the dick in the most excruciating and publicly humiliating way possible.

Amen. I’m fucking sick of the dems bringing a water gun to a tank fight

You’re also ignoring the fact that your annuity payment is going to be worth less in real dollars (due to inflation & currency devaluation) every year for the next 30 years

I need money now! JG Wentworth!”

Huh? Capital gains are taxed at a much lower rate than income. The capital gains tax you would pay on your investment income would be about half the rate you would pay on the annuity income.

What in the ever-loving fuck?

It never gets old, although it’s kind of mean and really not a fair comparison...to Wimpy. He gladly pays his debts on Tuesday!

This is brilliant. And I died a little inside.

whoosh?

I sure wish the folks at Fox would do all of us a favor and relieve both Smolz and Buck of the burden of calling games. The sanctimonious pearl clutching is too much to bear.

Supposedly (from rumors I’ve heard) there is a lot of cartel money involved with the Xolos and Caliente, so there could be some connection there...

Haha great minds think alike!

But...but..but...the Chargers have history in LA!”

As a former Chargers fan, I revel in every moment of shadenfreude the move to LA has provided.

If you don’t want to go to Inglewood from San Pedro (a pretty quick shot up the 110405 if you ignore the horrendous traffic) imagine what it must be like for people that live in the Inland Empire. Yikes.

Having grown up in LA and lived in SD for 20 years, the rivalry/disdain is entirely one-sided. People in SD hate LA with the fiery passion of a thousand white-hot suns. People in LA barely consider SD, unless it’s a place to visit for a nice weekend.

I’m convinced that Spanos is planning to sell the team as soon as possible and the move to LA was solely to increase the paper value of the franchise.

I went to a bunch of Chargers games when they were in San Diego. It was a great time; a huge parking lot for BBQing, beer drinking, weed smoking, football chucking, hacky sacking & skateboarding before & after game time. Plus great weather and attractive ladies. Please tell me again how much California sucks, kook.
