There is an expression that goes "You can never earn more than you can spend." As evidenced by lottery winners, celebrities, athletes, and your doctor friends, income and debt are not necessarily related.

With tools, they also enable you to earn an income from them.

Good point. If you look at cost/benefit, spending a little more can yield large returns, but spending a lot more doesn't increase the returns much, if at all.

A similar point is to spend your 'fun' money on something you genuinely enjoy, not on something you don't really like but should go up in value. A prime example is buying a car based on resale rather than whether you really like it & whether it meets your needs.

I always figured it was to express the conflicts Shinji feels. Is he alone? He feels that way, and his father reinforces it. He finds 'friends,' but are they helping him or just manipulating him? Can he get better? He's told he can save the world but is then emotionally beaten into submission. Can the bad things that

Agreed. I learned nothing from the 'comparisons' to those jets, especially since there was no link between them ... ever. We know Lucas storyboarded the battles based on military fighter footage. I always found it interesting how the originals included mission briefings, ships being fueled/taxied, & support teams

That's the same car they showed at SEMA—where they announced the new global spec Miata series.

As well as the RX-8. Both have the center tach with digital speedo.

The CX-3 may sell in 6-like levels, but I don't see it ever reaching 3 or CX-5 levels—at least in the US. I could see the CX-3 being a top seller in Latin America or Europe.

Thinking of the "buying too much house" topic—your primary residence is NOT an investment. If you own other properties, they may be investments (e.g., rentals to produce income), but your primary residence is shelter.

Enthusiasts make up such a small portion of the market that pissing them off has little to no negative effect.

What if the Tesla Model 3 is front wheel drive?

The new CX-9 is in the works, and it appears that it will get a brand new turbo-4. To spread out the development costs for that engine, it is expected to also be used in a Speed3. The target date for both of those is expected to be 2017.

The spy photos of the next CX-5 seem to show only subtle changes on the outside. I expect the biggest change will be to the new infotainment system, and that is a welcome improvement.

Not really. "Human psychology" has an irrational sense of loss, especially of something you think you have, even if it never existed. Paper gains on investments is one example. More to the point, what's in your paycheck is another.

Except of course, if you are like most Americans, you have accumulated too many Calories for your body to use to keep you alive. In that case, extra Calories indeed are bad for you, and it can be hard for many to find ways to get rid of them.

No Porsche, but I didn't need to finance my last two car purchases, so there's that.

Not bad, but not great.

That creates a different spending problem, which is feeling it is okay to start spending again once you have employment.
