Well, if it makes you feel better, he is wrong about it being a dual clutch. It is designed to have the benefits of a dual clutch, but it isn't actually one.

I agree the hood opening - it looks bad, but once open, you can see exactly why they did it.

Wheels are easy to change and not terribly expensive. Even if you want Mazda rims, you probably won't have a hard time finding a Sport owner who'd be willing to swap. It is not a difficult problem to overcome.

The diesel not frugal? Compare what you get out of it to its consumption, and I think everyone would beg to differ. You saw a 2.0 that produces half the torque of a 2.2L get similar mileage? Okay. How about the 2.2L getting better mileage than the 2.5L and still simultaneously producing a mountain more torque? And

You are correct. It also appears on their pre-CX-5 SUVs. This design feature comes from the RX-8, and I believe they were trying to tie their whole line together. I first read that as "Twinkie Human-Electric hybrid."

Why expect the future to be flying drones when the same thing can be done more cheaply & effectively by cameras? A few legal victories here and there only delay their inevitability.

Exactly - that's why insurance was invented.

You don't know the whole scope of what PEDs are, or what they do. Some things are perfectly legal, some things are not. Some even seem to be safe in that they merely optimize how the body already works.
