The online play was broken at launch. The PS3 version was eventually "patched" but apparently the 360 patch wasn't even released until recently.

@marklip: That was exactly my point. People act like Sony/Netflix are just being lazy and doing a half-assed job or something versus creating a temporary workaround to get their customers what they want.

You guys are pretty hard to please. You finally get your Netflix streaming and you start to nitpick. There's obviously a REASON behind them doing it this way...especially if they noted that an embedded solution is forthcoming. #netflix
