Good point. It is absurd that there are different rules for the 5 boroughs. Of course, the best way to correct that would be to change the law, not just the enforcement of it, but that would require getting Cuomo involved....

I’ll applaud when this change is applied unilaterally across the 5 boros. Right now, this “decriminalization” only applies to Manhattan, and not Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, or Staten Island, where the vast majority of middle and lower class, and minority New Yorkers live.
