How do you define subsidies? SpaceX is the low cost provider in the satellite business. He’s providing the same service that Boeing and Lockheed, two of the biggest defense contractors, charge the government more for. Those companies receive government money that DWARFS anything SpaceX has ever gotten.

Ahhhh, and now I know why someone sent me pictures of this tire and asked me what I think happened to it. Just from the pictures I said it looked like the tire was rotted and blew out. I thought it was a weird ass random thing for one of my friends to ask me about.

People don’t pay a lick of attention to their tires and sharing the road with them should be a terror-inducing thought.

I think all automakers should offer services like this. Instead of trying so damned hard to sell me a new truck, why not sell me on what a great job you did with my first truck? And sell me on how well you can make that investment continue to perform at its high level for another 30 years?

If only they were doing this in the USA.. I’d send mine out for a bit of refreshing. It’s in good shape at 75k miles and 21 years old, but I wouldn’t mind a fresh coat of factory paint (limited run color, IMPOSSIBLE to get right), a bit of leather work, and a good once over from some folks in the know.

the LFA is one of those cars that looks LOOOOOADS better in real life than it looks in pictures. I agree on it being way too expensive though.
