Take a look at the voting map. There are all kinds of supermajority white districts in Ohio and Penn like Macomb county that Obama won by 5% that Hillary lost by 29%. Did all those people become raciest and sexist in the last 4 years?

All the smug indignation, name calling and shaming of people who were voting for someone other than Clinton really worked magic didn’t it?

This is the same bullshit numbers that tanked Nader, when it was later proven that it was white Dems swinging to Bush that narrowed the gap between Bush and Gore.

Fuck the Democratic Party for not actually developing a bench. We were choosing between a flawed candidate (at least in terms of public perception — which is all that matters) and a 75 year old guy who mostly identified as socialist.

For the life of me I’ll never understand why the democrats cleared the decks to anoint a candidate who had already failed miserably in 2008 and who revealed herself to be isolated and utterly out of touch with the electorate.

Nah, the Dems and the DNC took the AA and Hispanic vote for granted. She didn’t even visit Wisconsin once during the campaign. These are the people that she needed to turn out to win. They were begging for a reason not to vote for Trump and she never even showed up to give them one. They have no one to blame but…

They got there my friend - they just didn’t vote for Hillary. Trump doubled AA vote that Romney got and got 33% of Hispanic males and 26% of HIspanic women. The Hispanic vote may have actually won Florida for him... think about that.

This is, by far, a better morning after take than the ones over on The Slot that, so far, are only blaming Gary Johnson, Jill Stein, and their voters.

The damage the third-party candidates did was minuscule and probably was inflicted on both candidates equally. There’s no evidence these voters would have largely broken for Clinton. Many would not have bothered to show up or would have shown up to write in a protest vote.

Hillary would have lost even if all 3rd party voters had voted for her. Majority of white voters voting Trump and the gutting of the of the Voting Rights Act, that probably took away votes that she could have used to swing a couple states, is the reason.
