No, that money is mostly going to her, getting washed through these other vehicles. The DNC/DCCC/DSCC won’t fund progressive candidates, anyway. There are Berniecrats all over the country who are ONLY able to mount primary challenges to corporatists like Wasserman-Schultz by hopping on Bernie’s coattails and getting

That’s not true. These big ticket fundraisers are an end run around campaign finance laws to get more money to Mrs. Clinton’s campaign. It’s akin to money laundering. The DNC/DCCC/DSCC don’t care about down ballot races. They have not even bothered to field candidates for a lot of congressional seats. In other cases,

Not quite. The money raised goes to the Hillary Victory Fund, a shell company that Hillary’s campaign workers have control over, not the DNC.

Choosing not to support someone isn’t the same as supporting that same person.

If Bernie doesn’t get nominated, I guess I’m staying home. No way am I choosing between Hillary and Donald. Sorry America, and sorry to Virginia, where I live

interesting how we got “obama caved and picked a conservative” from “i would have preferred someone more progressive but i support the president”

In all fairness, Sanders has consistently disagreed with several of Obama’s policies. In this case, he actual his expressing 100 percent support for Garland while also - and honestly - expressing his own preference should he become president.

you do realize there’s a BIG difference between stonewalling the nominee (which is what the republicans are doing) and winning the general election, then asking the sitting president to withdraw his nomination that’s being stonewalled by the republicans, right?

It is impressive that there are students interning for $15/hr and for college credit for Bernie Sanders campaign. When I was simultaneously interning for two different companies in NYC for Metrocards, I was still having to find additional time to take gigs and jobs to pay for meals and rent. This was only for six

He still employs almost an equal amount of women to men, I am all for equality, but equality doesn’t mean just sticking a few women into your highest paid category just so you have women in that category. They could be people who have worked with him the longest, they could be people who based on their work experience

Maybe being an intern in the ‘70s is a bit different from 2016 and you cannot compare her privileged experience with those of anything in the current rigged economy.

Yes. If Clinton’s staffers were Margaret Thatcher and Sarah Palin, would you still commend her for diversity hires?

Does the gender and/or sex of a person really matter if their values and ethics are corrupt?

Clinton practices identity politics. She only has so many women staffers to give off an impression of equity. She still doesn’t pay her interns a wage, which shows to me she doesn’t care about the middle-class or poor Americans.

Off the top of my head, Nina Turner and Tulsi Gabbard have been two of his most prominent campaign surrogates and stump for him regularly. Lucy Flores has been active for the campaign as well. There’s also Simone Sanders, no relation, who works directly for the campaign, and I’m sure I’m missing more.

Marcy Kaptur, congresswoman from Northern Ohio, just endorsed him and has been campaigning for him in Ohio (HUGE get, by the way. Surprised it didn’t get more press. Northern Ohio is liberal Ohio).

Tulsi Gabbard resigned her position from the DNC to support Sanders.

I thought his campaign manager was a woman of color...maybe my lines are crossed though.

They also have significantly less staffers, so I’m wondering how that factors in.

Did you take into account that only the Sanders campaign pays a wage to their interns? And at $15/hr? Their campaign overhead is more equitably distributed, rather than to a select group of staffers.

Let’s also remember Bernie is the only candidate paying his interns!
