I didn’t like The Animated Series’ design or personality for J either, but definitely enjoyed the continued presence of L and the art style.

I can understand why you consider MIB3 to have a weak story, but I found it more streamlined and focused like the first. MIIB was too muddled with details and in-jokes.

Personally, MIB3 and MIB: The Animated Series each have their own unique qualities and flaws that could make an argument for swapping their positions, depending on your personal taste.

MIB > MIB3 > MIB: The Animated Series > MIB sequel comics/novels > MIIB
