I felt that Cool World had a lot of promise to be a fantastic counterpoint to Roger Rabbit. The studio, unfortunately, screwed director/animator Bakshi out of his original script. The animation is still fairly good.

I made the same point in a different comment thread only to have RJ, the original artist, disparage me for daring to question his vision.

I made a similar point in a topic thread above, only for the original artist to pretty much attack me for daring to comment on his vision.

The beginning of the book suggested that rejuvenation was simply a process of reversing age, but by the end they were outright cloning characters (while still calling it rejuvenation) and lamenting the loss of characters without memory recorders.

The Shaymin piece was clearly done in only five minutes, so I must question your artistic eye for such things.

Is Hamilton considered to be a good author in the genre? I read the first in that series and found it to be very pretentious. He spent a lot of time just ranting against socialism and trying to sell us on the concept of rejuvenation(?)/cloning(?) without really explaining it.

It's not that I don't like how you do it because I very clearly stated that I do in fact love "how you do it," but that your translation doesn't respect the original aesthetic of GameFreak's designs. You're not doing anything remotely different from what other artists have already done, so what's the point?

As good a place as any to discuss the show's revelation of Terry's parentage. Anyone hate it as much as I do?

They could easily combine the two stories, although considering the current trend of splitting films I doubt they would ever do that.

Modesto/Turlock, here.

My criticism was very civil and rational, unlike your own condescending response.

It's a shame that it took the '90s with the Matrix to finally demonstrate what Frank had written decades before with the Weirding Way. A new adaptation could easily utilize it in an intensely visual and exciting sequence.

Children does provide some closure to Paul's character, but arc ended back in Messiah. He's only really present in Children for the final quarter of the book.

I don't want to criticize since the artwork is both beautifully executed and designed and it is far from anything I could ever dream to do myself, but as a long-time Pokémon fan who has seen dozens of different artists attempt "realistic" interpretations of the creatures I have to say that something is often lost in

I can see your point, although I prefer the current ending to the possibility of Moriarty taking the Hyde Serum as would have been cinematically logical, yet fairly ridiculous.

Why did you make the Chikorita line into turtles and the Dratini line into salamanders?

Mostly good interpretations, but the Chikorita and Dratini lines are completely unfaithful.

All I remember is that the villain was sniped with a rifle. How is that ridiculous?

You can't really do Children of Dune since it has more in common with God-Emperor of Dune than the previous two books in the series.

Same here. It was more faithful to the novels, sure, but I could not get over the matte backdrops and GIANT HAT costume designs.
