Life is the universe's greatest miracle. Even if you are irreligious life is still an amazing thing.

The Weirding Way was a form of martial arts present in the original Dune novels. Lynch adapted the concept into the "Weirding Modules" since he felt that it would look ridiculous to have the Fremen conduct "kung-fu on the sand dunes."

I further this question. Did Jodorowsky have any concepts in mind in how to visualize the Weirding Way?

It has been said that many of the concepts and themes for Jodorowsky's Dune were later explored in the Incal graphic novels. Is this true and, if so, how much of "Dune" is in Incal? How much of Jodorowsky's interpretation of Dune is in Incal?

Yeah, there are a great many YA books out there with a wide range of genre and theme, but the studios only seems interested in picking the ones that follow a near-identical formula.

Can you explain, without spoilers, what derailed the series or made it end badly?

The point of these articles is to educate. The reader shouldn't need background information or have to look for secondary sources to get the full story.

Why should the original poster have to be "educated" on a niche, obscure past-time practiced by few people and followed by fewer?

Then maybe the article should have specified that.

I'm sure there are some people who would genuinely enjoy doing that. They probably see god as morally superior despite (or even because) of his actions and commandments.

They already remade Super Mario 64 for the DS, though. It was very good.

It really is a shame that one flop/mistake can ruin an auteur's career and prevent the production of what could have been cinematic masterpieces.

Many of the "modern-era" shooting games take place in the Middle East or with fictional Arab nations. Armed forces versus "terrorists" and all that, but not exactly a "high score" situation unless you're playing deathmatch online.

I will definitely be posting then!

Even without seeing the documentary I imagine the meetup would be a good opportunity to discuss the books, Lynch adaptation and Sci-Fi miniseries. Surely that's reason enough for any Dune fan.

I'm not suggesting that only the Judeo-Christian-Islamic god could be real. I am suggesting that *any* god or godlike being could be real; that includes Thor or any other mythologized deity or even ones we don't yet know about.

There's no evidence to suggest that a god or godlike being doesn't exist.

Hey, if God makes the rules then you have to follow them, otherwise you'll be sent to Hell. Would you really want to go to Hell on principle?
