Rattata is definitely adorable, but Raticate is a badass Pokémon with those huge incisors. I keep rats, so I enjoy both of them.

Dressing as a geisha is probably one of the least offensive things a performer can do. While still problematic, I would not go so far as to label Katy Perry a racist.

Oh, yeah; Yoshi's Story was fun, but definitely very easy and brief.

In my experience Yoshi's Island was one of the most difficult early Mario platformers in terms of 100% completion.

It's very easy to accumulate lives in a Super Mario Bros. title so long as you know how to collect coins and not die. If you don't want to use all of the lives you accumulate than simply don't die.

Those costumes seem to fit the Marvel aesthetic moreso than the DC.

Patrick Neil Harris?

I would (and have) call a Spaniard Hispanic as the term refers to anyone with Spanish heritage. Spaniards obviously qualify.

I certainly don't. Hispanics are Caucasian and, as such, can be considered to be "white."

This sounds like a non-issue. Just routine shaking at a major retailer.

Yet she won the award for working with a child abuser.

Is portraying a female character so intrinsically different from portraying a male character that we should give essentially the same award to two different people based solely on gender?

The mythology of the games is very important to the aesthetic and themes of each adventure.

I just don't see much benefit to it. It either feels like a post-script story or a stretched out story. The first-gen remakes (FireRed/LeafGreen) included the Sevii Islands as post-game areas that didn't really add anything to the adventure.

I've watched the feed for a few minutes at a time. It's infuriating to see everyone try to use a TM during battle when they could, unfortunately, use one of the shitty moves they learned.

If it were not for how badly the Kanto portion of the game was integrated into the storyline GSC would probably be the best of the series.

Outside of the gym leaders, Kanto in GSC is pretty devoid of any sidequests.

What I like about the Age of Apocalypse storyline is that it is so easily adapted in different ways. Nearly all of the X-Men cartoons have approached it and now so will the film series. The basic premise is open to lots of great interpretation.

Read Kotaku Core if you only want video game news.

The worst thing is that I imagine people who yell such racial remarks at others think to themselves that they are not "racist" and only "joking." They'd probably tell you that you're oversensitive and missing the point.
