However much I love TF2, I can't help but feel it's becoming less of a FPS and more of an MMO or a trading card game with the more weapons they create for it.

I kinda agree with this in a sense that, yes, with pc gaming, the ability to customize and further create is ever-ready and always changing. ON THE OTHER HAND, I'm sure the abilities of the next generation of consoles will be up to date, allowing companies like such here to further develop for consoles.
