I think I can speak for just about every consumer when I say:

I wonder how long before hackers manage to come up with cracks for cars.

If there isn't already, I see an opportunity for aftermarket modules / flashes to bypass this. 

My 2020 Kia Soul requires a subscription for some things that are infuriatingly tempting. Remote start/climate, sending an address from my phone directly to the car’s GPS, “Find My Car”... They gave me a free subscription for the first year and it was all so useful! 😭

The popup obviously exists to force you to get an account, even if you title it “BURNERACCTTOREAD” so it’s not going anywhere.

Why would a hacker possibly want to work for free, unless the actual payment was to be able to access servers and source code for down the road, with the being none the wiser to whatever he is planning? No wooden horse even needed.

This is sort of shitty to reduce Hotz to that. Hotz is an extremely talented programmer and is, actually, the real deal that Elon claims to be but isn’t (claimed he programmed PayPal, claims to do all sorts of code for Tesla and SpaceX but doesn’t really, etc.).

I’m sure this will work out fine.  A hacker intern can totally replace a team of software engineers...

I take it as a bigger indicator to not sign up if you haven’t already.

what’s truly insane to me is that game freak dropped legends: arceus earlier this year and not even a year later the studio came out with scarlet and violet. that tight development would undoubtedly lead to some issues with the game

It’s got nothing to do with hardware and everything to do with the Gamefreak team being horrible at building a game engine. They’ve had performance issues for multiple games now, just none that were this severe.

What white people, generally the ones who are quite white supremacists but tend to tolerate them more than others, hate more than anything is being reminded that they’re white. So even a nebulously racial (not even racist) name like cracker can make some of them uncomfortable.

I can’t say I’d give a shit about it.

It’s funny how all of the slurs for white people that white people know were invented by white people to describe white people and weren’t even slurs to begin with. If that’s not white supremacy, I don’t know what is.

as an old white man, I have never ever found any white person ever offended by being called a cracker. Its is so lame, and has always been lame. Its not offensive its weak and stupid.
