The proprietary hard drives are what allow MS to charge only $199 for an Arcade. I'm sure that MS isn't making money from an Arcade sale. But if you could stick any old hard drive in the console, everyone would just buy the Arcade and drop in their own drive.

Sounds like the Percussion Freaks game I played at an arcade on the Ocean City, NJ boardwalk. It was an absolute nightmare to play because of the same reasons. There was the stupid bass drum note and the relationship between head placement and the note placement on screen was very sketchy. It was very hard to pick…

Sorry, I don't buy it. It would have had to reach 451 degrees in order to cause the paper to ignite. Most likely it was the recalled power cord that did it.
