We work. We contribute our time and money to the people running against them. We mobilize people to actually get out and vote. We can’t assume any outcome is safe based on the perceived terribleness of the other side (how many people stayed home because they assumed Hillary would safely win because the polls told

Honestly, I agree with you. Hillary Clinton was not initially my first choice, but I knew going in that should she get the nomination I would get behind her as the nominee, and I did. Even now the Bernie-or-Busters refuse to accept their complicity in the result (I had it out with one the day after the election over

Nope, Roger Williams. I even plugged in all my old apartment addresses into the search function on house.gov and came up with Williams for all but the one I had way on the south side. It’s ridiculous how they’ve gerrymandered Austin so that there are THREE Republican representatives here.

After some more consideration, I think we ought to replace the lions with the polar bears that are being starved out by the loss of arctic ice due to the global warming that the exploitative rich insist doesn’t exist. It’s only fair.

TBD. I live in a very liberal enclave of a red state and used to have an amazing Rep in Congress - Lloyd Doggett, he’s still there! - but he now serves a different district because of the last round of gerrymandering and now the actual Rep for my district is a typical Texas Republican scumbag. We’ve had so many

I was like this for a couple of weeks after the election and then again after the inauguration. I try to keep myself busy at work and have taken to avoiding the urge to check twitter/Facebook at all times of the day by listening to audiobooks while I work, which helps me concentrate and actually get anything done.

Do we have to eat them ourselves, or can we just let some lions loose on them in an arena? The people would like that, I think. Lots of spectacle!

I really don’t think it’s going to work. We all see them and what they’re doing. Chaffetz is refusing to open an investigation into Trump and Russia but he’s got time to go after a Clinton aide? WE SEE YOU. McConnell and Ryan’s concerted efforts to obstruct anyone who does want to investigate the misdeeds of this

I don’t really like Maher much either, to be honest. Milly Yippeekiyaymotherfucker and Tippi Laura are the worst of the right wing windbags, though, and I refuse to give either of those two trolls the attention of even getting their names right.

Moldy Yannarosannadanna

I really wish people would stop giving this little whassisname a platform and the validation and attention he so desperately craves. He’s the worst kind of attention whore and the only cure for it is to ignore them completely.

It is, but she’s fluent in Spanish too. She did a whole album in Spanish, and it was awesome.

I don’t even need to read this to want to throw up.

No. Adele’s 28, 7 years younger than Beyoncé. Beyoncé was only 17 when “No, No, No” was released, people forget how long she’s been doing this and how young she started.

True. I really don’t “get” ignorance. But if they want to be proud of theirs, well, less power to ‘em, I guess.

Yep, and then at the end when black, female Trump goes home with Melania (with all the cuckolding of “alpha male” little Donny that implies)? I can’t *wait* until we get that tweetstorm of impotent rage from Tinyhands himself.

Cream cheese is actually really low in lactose, so it may not trigger a response. I’m fine with it, most cheese and low-fat yogurt, I can’t do real milk or really rich ice cream though.

This. I would be so much more interested in this movie if they had cast Rinko Kikuchi instead. Just based off her work in Pacific Rim I think she would have been great for this.

And that stock response is so easily swatted down, because back when she was cast as The Girl With The Pearl Earring, she wasn’t a big name either.

If nothing else it will force the House Republicans to show that they really don’t give a rat’s flying fuck about national security or supporting the military.
