Ugh. I don’t know, I mean, if you were in the cheated-on wife’s position how would you feel if you found out about it, and then found out that your friend knew before you did and said nothing? It’s a little fucked up to me that your husband put you in the position of being that friend who knows too much, and then got

I didn’t care who Jessie J was until this travesty happened, and now I can’t stand her.

*gag* sounds like the fastest trip to Salmonella City ever.

Tell her it’s no worse than the open fridge cases at the supermarket.

I read an interview with the president of the WTA and she addressed that point, too. She said if it’s about the set length, the women are ready to play longer sets and it’s not them that are the issue.

Yeah, actually, I would. I don’t live in Houston anymore but if I did I’d probably have a season ticket for the Dash before I’d buy one for the Dynamo. The city I live now doesn’t have a women’s pro team. There is a women’s college team, and I’ve tried before to get my friends to come with me to games. At the time

Thanks! I had the same impression but I wasn’t sure if my memories were incorrect or not. I would love to see the rest of the players out there more with some non-soccer specific endorsements. Abby had a Gatorade commercial a few years ago but this time around the buzz around the players seemed a lot more low key.

Women have club careers to think of as well. Dismissing them as unimportant because they’re not men is exactly the problem here.

I wonder how many fans of Premier League clubs are completely unaware that they have women’s teams too.

If I’d known us women were so bulletproof I’d have never worried that soccer might ruin my ankles for dancing. Damn.

This is mainly a question for Jezzies who are old enough to remember the 1999 team:

I probably would have punched him in the dick and flounced out of the room, but I’ve been stanning for our ladies since before the last WWC so that’s a purely emotion-driven response.

I was just reading a really interesting thing about that earlier today.

If I was getting the special man bonus on my paycheck instead of measly woman pay I could probably afford those sport packages too.

Ask your mom how manly she felt when she was shoving you out of her. Women ARE tough, deal with it.

There was an amazing gif that went viral on twitter showing women’s players vs men’s, that showed Ronaldo crying for the ref, then rolling around clutching his face (which hadn’t been touched), contrasted with a woman who’d just gotten her face busted up spitting out some blood and getting on with play.

According to the local sources this was on Almeda Road, which is a major street. The speed limit around there is 45 but it’s Houston so I can guarantee people were probably going about 10 miles over.

I’m pretty sure their great-grandparents would slap them silly for that. One of my dad’s uncles contracted polio as a toddler and had to entirely relearn how to walk. If my great-grandparents had a shot that would have spared him that, I’m sure they would have used it.

I think because the vaccine has kept our population measles-free for so long, a lot of them are ignorant of just how serious an illness measles is. They think it’s like a cold or something.

Yep, I got both my flu shot and my MMR booster for free last October at a vaccine clinic sponsored by my employer in the main conference room of the building where I work. All I had to do was show my driver’s license and my insurance card. Easy as could be.
