Fundamentally, this is where we disagree. I feel like a well informed adult can make the decision to endure such pain, to provide the desired performance. “...well informed adult...” is key to my view. I agree that Ballet Dancers should be paid as much as pro athletes of the big 4. Ballet is hard and requires peak levels of human skill and athleticism. Those are the stakes.
