Dear lord is that thing ugly. Gotta be one of those laboratory-experiment type Pokemon, right?

Replying 3 months later?

That sucks a whole lot for the team that (accidentally?) snuck into the 8th seed by one game only to get swept in the first round.

It would be real shame to limit the selection of prehistoric creatures in this game for the sake of historical accuracy.

Great video Mike, but you forgot all of Valve’s crouchy greatness!

Great- now on when I bite on a shitty flash I can suggest I was playing for a tactical advantage. :)

You just said that you’ll take design over performance every time, didn’t you? I’m not being dramatic, I’m just pointing out how foolish that statement is. :)

A pompous prick, huh? I take it you see no issues with the PC version of Arkham Knight, then.

It isn’t steady though. See the Digital Foundry video linked elsewhere.

It kills it for me because it shatters my immersion. It’s not simply something that happens “once or twice” in a playthrough- point your camera the wrong way and the framerate gets all fucked up in many areas of the game.

I think you’re being a little dramatic.

You answered your own hot-shit-covered-garbage premise at the end- the standards are completely different. (I don’t mean that your premise was hot-shit-covered-garbage, but that... nevermind.)

The framerate issues are well documented. It makes the game less enjoyable to play.

They are “fine” at 30, but Bloodborne struggles to display at 30 in a consistent matter.

Why shouldn’t I be snobbish?

Unfortunately I notice it everywhere. Check out this video from Eurogamer’s performance vertical- the frames are fluctuating all over the place when the player is walking around before getting into combat. A consistent 30 is fine, but the frequent drops to 20 are super noticeable.

I won’t be speaking for everyone, but the performance issues prevent it from being a truly amazing game. It looks great, but the jumpy framerate completely shatters my immersion every time I play.

It’s absolutely playable, but the inconsistency of the framerate absolutely kills it for me- it takes me right out of the game. The loading times are also atrocious, although an SSD on a PC probably wouldn’t make that much of a difference.

Watching the videos in this article makes me so sad because Bloodborne never reaches those consistent framerates. :(
