You sure about that? There are quite a few articles that position Kotaku as a serious gaming journalism outlet. But they don't hesitate to post blog pieces either. The problem is it's not always clear if they're a journalim outlet first & entertainment outlet second or vice versa. They seem to want it both ways.

It actually doesn't fade to black, they acknowledge that what they're doing is pretty dumb and then have some genuine laughter.

I love all the idiots that assume this is Nintendo "censoring" to pander to children when it's far more likely that they submitted for an ESRB rating and got told to drop the butt or accept an M-rating over a fan service shot.
