That would probably work. $100 or 1$ of the vehicle's worth, whichever's higher.

On the flip side though, then you have people driving around $500 beaters parking wherever the hell they want because hey, parking in a handicapped spot is only 5 bucks!

Punishment isn't punishment if it doesn't HURT. Someone who has the means to purchase a $1.7 million supercar isn't even going to notice a $150 parking ticket.

I know what he's doing here.

Agreed. Bay really is the only one that could do the Duke justice.

Seriously. All these 4WD rally cars and stuff like the H1 Alpha and SVT Raptor and not a single dirt track to be found. What the hell?

While I won't buy the FR-S (as there's not enough torque for my liking, and it'll probably be out of my price range anyway), I'm really hoping for all our sakes it's a good car.

This worries me just due to the number of laws the average person breaks in their normal day.

Pay $75,000 for a car that's going to need all its fluids changed, all the bushings checked (and possibly changed, as I bet they're all dry-rotted by now), new brakes, new tires (as they're probably flat-spotted AND dry-rotted), flush the fuel system, check the plugs, wires and injectors...so after I buy this $75,000

This is probably going to be terrible.

Well it'll be whatever you're driving—at least, after the divorce proceedings are through.

Glad to see a real actual pilot weigh in on this.

Remember the flight attendant that freaked out on a JetBlue flight and quit by activating one of those emergency ramps?

If you pirate a game/movie/CD/ebook/whatever, you have in fact taken something. You have taken a sale away from whoever created what you took. You took something that someone worked hard to produce, and did not compensate them for it. Taking something without paying for it is called theft.

It's a legitimate strategy!

Clever idea, that. Let's see what happens.

I think that might be too high. If it were closer to 20 grand they wouldn't be able to make enough of 'em. $25K will get you a Genesis Coupe, Mustang, well-optioned Miata or Camaro. Option this thing out and you're looking at Mustang GT/Camaro SS money.

I don't care if you're gay, or straight, or transgender, or whatever. What difference does it make? I'm sure most people here don't care about any of that either.

That, sir, is brilliant.

The same thing that happened to the "New, sensitive" tone the mainstream pundits were going to use after Sen. Giffords was shot in the head.
