To be fair, for a struggling millennial it’s easy to be seduced by Marxist ideas. Something like the communist manifesto was meant to rile people up, Marx himself goes back on some of the radical ideas in that document later in life. Engels really hits the manifesto hard in later forewords.

Unfortunately, HamNo and those of his ideological persuasion think Capitalism is the devil. Worse than the devil actually. He’s essentially advocating for a great leap forward that will give the middle finger (let die needlessly) to everyone (hundreds of millions of people) who can’t make the jump.

Capitalism is very good at finding an efficient way to do something, we just need to be better at telling it what we want/what our goals are. If we can dictate saving the environment as a priority through legislation, capitalism would be very good at finding the best way to do it.
