I have owned 5 XJ’s, and currently own a YJ Wrangler. I love the XJ and 4.0 is a beast of a motor, all that low range grunt. They are suprising capable and hard to kill, just check out this video,

The SRT8 models were progressive shift from AWD to RWD. There are plenty of switch mods out there that disable the AWD and turn it into RWD mode only.
