Some cars produce way more hp than what the manufacturer claims. M5 F10 puts out 560hp stock but they are actually alot closer to 600hp or even above.

I belive they tested an M2 with the DCT on the same track and it was only faster by like 2/10ths or something

I live like 10 minutes away from Hockenheim and I never even considered going to an F1 race. I sure as shit wont spend 200-500€ (roofed seating starts at 300) for a ticket to sit in the sun for two hours while I have a hard time following the actual race. Considering you pay around 25-30€ per lap on the Nordschleife

Theres a video out there of an M2 (turbo engine) on a dyno in colorado making like 280 or something at the wheels at high altitude. The same car then did 40hp or so more on a dyno at around sea level.

Isnt there a Video of Bernd Mayländer drifting his SLS at Monaco during the Race?

While it certainly is not the most physically demanding car, the Noble M600 deserves an honorable mention. Turbo V8 with 660hp, 6spd manual and no ABS while only weighing 1200kg is pretty demanding if you ask me.

Its a reflection of the person standing next to the car I believe

New daily driver? New daily driver.

Base price in Europe is at 40k € flat

I was just trying to emphasize the fact that the Z06 has a massive blown V8 whereas the RS is a naturally aspired 6cyl with 40% less displacement. Also with 150 more horsepower, its no wonder it should be faster than the RS.

Well, at least they’re...you know...building cars.

And yet they sold all of them

I dont know man. The 4L 6cyl 500hp naturally aspirated Porsche did a 1.33.29 lap around Laguna Seca whereas the supercharged 6 Liter V8 with 150hp more did a 1.33.05 with the Michelin Sport Cup tires. I highly doubt a 991.2 GT2 RS with a 600+hp turbo would be slower around the track than the Z06.

They shouldve added at least a small “bürzel” like on the “sport design” package 991

The V8 R8 was also 10 years ago and engine tech has made a significant leap forward thanks to advanced hybrid tech.

I have owned a Brabus Smart for the last 4 years with a 1.0L turbo making 110hp and despite being driven hard most of the time, not once has this engine made any trouble. Also, some european countries calculate vehicle-taxes based on engine displacement.

While BMW says the M6 has 560hp, several dyno runs have shown that the car is 600+ hp from the factory. BMW hilariously underrates their hp figures.
