Sydney Ellen Wade is everything.

How very Miss Havisham.

Thordric Nightshadow, at yer service.

More like Slaytanists!!!!

Especially if there was a scene on the beach, like Top Gun Volleyball. (That’s what that movie was called, right? I’ve only seen that part.)

Agreed. Yes, facts still exist, but because so many of them have been diluted and perverted, they may as well no longer exist. People lean more heavily on their beliefs and take those to be facts, regardless of the veracity. For example, the vaccines cause autism belief is a hard one to backtrack. People can say,

I forgot you lived in Florida. I hope you understand that I love you personally, but that state is dead to me now.

Remember the good old days when Truthiness made us chuckle rather than despair.

The Trumans also did not actually live in the White House for much of Truman’s presidency. The white House structure was found to be dangerously in need of repair and had to be rebuilt. The Trumans moved into Blair House (the presidential guest house), and this minimized the social life of the Truman presidency.

We call that Freedom Foam.

Nellie Taft... <3 <3 <3 I’ve been reading Dorris Kearn Goodwin’s excellent book “The Bully Pulpit” about Teddy Roosevelt, William Taft, and muckraking journalism and have fallen in love with the Tafts. I really admire Nellie’s integrity and sense of adventure. How fitting that she was the first First Lady in Vogue.

The Crown is a very good show and a very good distraction.
