I think many (most?) people don’t actually know the premise of the game. The protagonist does not belong to the game’s fantasy world. She belongs to the real-world (or the videogame equivalent). I will say I am actually disappointed launching/landing on a planet is not player controlled and seamless. the Outer Wilds (NOT the outer worlds) was able to do this on last gen hardware without an SSD so I find it a little disappointing we are not going to see something similar on stronger hardware.

I was aware of that fact and I still believe he would have made bad movies rather than bad games.
