Yes, I think the trailer is a hook to get white people all “Yeah! I feel like that all the time!” then they go watch it and get a reality check. I’ve sat through two graduate diversity courses (one in my masters and one in my doctorate), and have seen this happen both times.

That’s my hope too. I don’t see this being particularly useful for people of color. Or for that matter, white allies. But for naïve and sheltered white kids, this could be useful if it's done well. I might check it out just to see.
