Good. Uber and Lyft started as something you could do “on the side.” Then, somehow, people decided to make this their main, if not only, source of income. After doing that, they realized it was not a good idea to do so and started complaining about not getting benefits and not being considered an employee.

Right? My impression of the gig economy was that these were never meant to be replacements for full time jobs. These were fill in jobs you could do for extra cash; basically a part time job.

I can’t believe these companies are holding people hostage and not letting them work elsewhere. If only the drivers could leave and do something else.

Winner take all is what’s trash. It makes millions of voters apathetic about voting, and drives the two parties further and further apart.
Since it doesn’t seem like any movement to dump Winner take all rules is ever going to gain traction, Nationwide Ranked Choice is what we need.
Imagine being able to vote for a third

Do you still ask why laptops no longer have floppy drives?

No. Stop. It’s over. There’s an adapter if you want it.

The easier option here is to just spring for YouTube Premium. When my partner pulls up his YouTube to play something and I see the UNGODLY number and length of ads, it blows my mind that people still deal with that shit. Not seeing a single add during my (sometimes) 2 hour bouts of YouTube binging is a godsend. And

I get it. I don’t blame them. They are a for profit company that wants to make money, which they are entitled to try to do. They can’t make money if drivers are classified as employees. Unless they drastically raise rates, which riders won’t be happy with.  This was likely the least costly approach to take.

Big oversight. Prison Break is the patron saint of this. Its literally in the title of why this show went off the rails at the end of season one. At least somebody over at the CW liked the show enough to bring these two back together.

Now tell us your true opinion of Trump.

I keep my distance from them and my mouth shut. No one appointed me Mask Cop and I choose not to take on the risks and hassles of that job.

So I guess the question is, “To be, R0 to be” 🤔

The risk with your strategy is that if you experience a personal emergency at the same time as a market crash, you may be forced to withdraw from your retirement at a time when you’ll lose a big chunk of money.

And China did it better? I mean, I guess burning the bodies of a large number of your civilian population, welding them inside their apartments and buildings, expelling foreign journalists, murdering the scientist who reported the infection to you, and simply lying about your statistics is a great plan in the short

I have the same comment/issue. Commenting to follow...

I’m glad to see this FINALLY came to Google Authenticator, but it’s in the “too little too late” category for me. I switched to Authy, for better or worse a while back and really don’t want to re-do all of my 2FA accounts.

The New Trent looks OK but it is BT which is a negative for me and on top of that it uses what looks like a USB mini charging cable. And that’s a double negative for me. My English teacher always taught me not to never write a double negative sentence.

Okay, so I never understood the voter ID controversy. It seems logical on all levels to require government-issued identification to cast a vote. While I’m aware certain political groups exaggerate the amount of fraud to push their agenda, I don’t see how arguing for no identification makes any sense. I get that the

Truly, avoiding businesses owned by people of the wrong races is the way to fix racism. Enlightening stuff!
