I’ve been on the receiving end of sexual assault.

 It’s not a subject I take lightly.

“Here’s the thing: male victims, including child victims, of sexual assault by women are often treated as though they are “lucky” that they were sexually abused because men/boys are presumed to always want sex regardless of the source or circumstance. That is a genuine problem.”

Which was the point I was going for.

I

I believe George here.

Is it terrible that I’m kinda worried that someone out there is going to accuse someone who’s totally innocent of this and destroy them so they can make a quick buck?

I mean, with what a hot button issue this is right now, the danger is certainly out there.

I’m not trying to defend what Louie did here or anything, but is it fair to put in him the same category as Kevin Spacey at this point? I still see him getting work like Pee-Wee Herman eventually did, but I could be wrong.

Either way, while what he did was creepy, I wouldn’t personally place it in “rape or groping”

Is that why they called Clinton a “turd sandwich” over and over again?

I feel like with every album Taylor releases, the reviews always say she’s “really matured with this one.”

And I’m a fan, but even I’ll tell you her songs often resemble those passive aggressive Facebook posts your friend makes without mentioning anyone by name.

To clarify, I read Rolling Stone for the articles.

So it’s like lubricant then?

This is getting nuts.

South Park also said that “both sides are equally bad” last year, so them spending an entire episode making fun of George Clooney (who was in the movie for crying out loud) speaks to their self-rightousness rather than their wit. And I’m not even a South Park hater!

In the case of Spacey’s victims, most of them were minors, which I think is one of the big reasons the outrage against him has been so strong. And, fairly or not, some of that (not around here, mind you, at least as far as I know) does have homophobia playing a factor.

Being completely hypothetical, but let’s say Julia

Why is this a Newswire? This was a freaking review, not a news piece!

Louie will be fine. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if they still let him do The Secret Life of Pets 2, since that’s two years down the road.

Not saying that’s a fair thing or not. But he has certainly handled this better than a lot of others may have.

Unfortunately, men can be at the receiving end of this sort of thing as well. But when that happens, the victim is usually either made into a joke or accused of being weak. As The Cinema Snob said in his lengthy I Spit on Your Grave review, when men get raped, it’s funny.

Not that Page was raped or anything, or like

I’d upvote this if I still could!

Guys, guys, guys!

Mary and Joseph.

There. What Roy Moore did was fine.

This is one of the more amusing pieces I’ve read on this site recently. Nicely done.

I miss the days when I went to this site to get away from bad news.

I also miss the non-Kinja days, but that’s beside the point.

Did Seth MacFarlane sleep with The AV Club’s mother or something? I mean, the man always comes across as a decent human being who’s grateful for his success, yet this site tends to shit on him regardless.

If Louie C.K. had told the same joke, I doubt the coverage would’ve been nearly as snarky.
