As much as it sucks that online ranked battles are locked behind this requirement, it must be said that if a player is having trouble with the AI at level 4, ranked battles will be no less frustrating. It’s brutal! At least there’s online party mode.

Did you beat level 4 and get to ranked?

I use the Pro controller to play, which is far more accurate than the joy con grips. I found that I couldn’t get past Ninjara on Grand Prix lvl 2, he grabbed faster than I could throw punches.

Great review -- but it might be worth mentioning that Ranked Online is locked behind the very difficult Level 4 Grand Prix.

It’s definitely hard at first, but I chalk that up to it being a new type of fighter. It took a tremendous amount of learning a patience for myself to get passed level 4 difficulty, but it’s worth it.

Yup, level 4 is damn tough and all I want to do is play ranked. I can’t get past round 8.
