Point taken but lithium ion batteries can be recycled. So although there are finite amounts of the materials in nature; recycling could offer a lifespan for the technology that is longer than oil.

I’m always nice. what torques my nuts are people who spout opinion as fact and argue about things they have no clue about. these people get called dumbasses or idiots. barbecue they are dumbasses or idiots.

I think it was electrical tape, my worm.

Duck. In the Vietnam era, PT boats were regularly patched with water resistant, I.E., “duck” tape. Tape used on ducts is aluminized.  PT Boats were notorious flimsy as they were basically made out of plywood with an engine bolted on.

Yeah, a human driver might not be fooled by that 3, but you could definitely make a fake speed limit sign that would fool them (assuming the road was at least somewhat manageable at that speed)

That’s why I’m in favor of Thorium reactors rather than an over reliance on renewables that require large scale battery storage. (Though I’m also totally in favor of tons of renewables, just want a more reliable base load.)

I think we’ll be okay with China.

This is me every time we have a new Ford Flex show up on a delivery transporter. Ford has a stash of them somewhere and they just keep trickling out to dealers one at a time to keep us on our toes.
