There is no consensus on tipping for take out. Always tip for dining in. Good rule of thumb: if your order was complex or large, or in other words took some time and service to make for you, you should probably tip a smaller amount than dining in.

I used to be a poor, who worked as a food person. Allow me to help! If it’s a small order you’re picking up, feel free to leave a buck or two, or not. It’s nice but not expected. If you order ten sandwiches for your office’s lunch, tip a dollar a meal. If you order something bordering on catering then, ask for help

I fukkin hate tipping. Why can’t the owners just pay their employees and let me pay what a thing costs? Why do I need little beggars tugging at my sleeve while I’m trying to eat?

Hell no! If I am picking up, no tip for you. I did all the heavy lifting. I pay $10-$15 for a pizza, that owner is making $7-$10 on me. If he pays his staff so shitty that they need tip money from a pick up then it’s time for them to find a new employer. End of story.

on take out? Hell no. If they carry it to your car or something then maybe.

That’s something I don’t really understand.

Your opinion is incorrect and bad and you should feel bad for having this bad opinion.

Adam Smith was correct, there is an invisible hand guiding the economy, he just didn’t mention that the hand is bitch-slapping everyone in its path.

Yeah this sounds like a win for United, they got their way and didn’t have to deal with the bad press of kicking the shit out if a passenger. Their customers are sufficiently scared at this point to roll over and take whatever they dish out, I’m sure the other airlines are taking notes.

this is an example of a flawed article - 1978 hmmm what happened around that time that made all fossil fueled travel extremely expensive?

anyways all jest aside, yes, if you are traveling by yourself well in advance on a short trip with a very limited carryon, you are saving money (but not 50%). But i disagree that is

Alternative cuck librul fake news. Next you’ll be telling us the Declaration of Independence isn’t some hit piece on the president!

false.

Am I crazy or is this not just the leading edge of the preferred business/consumer relationship as seen by our corporate overlords?

“We deeply apologize to Ms. Yamauchi and her son for this experience.”

Appearing in a joint press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw, a reporter asked Trump to give a “yes or no” answer about whether the Kremlin interfered with the 2016 race

Anyone else remember how deregulating the airline industry was going to increase competition, end effective monopoly routes and lower prices?

Fuck Amtrak. The last time I tried to get a train ticket I was also calling airlines. When I called back for the train ticket the price had gone up by $100. An hour later. Not for a fancy car, just for a seat. Greyhound might be slow and kinda gross but you are paying for slow and kinda gross. Train prices are

Here’s the takeaway; she didn’t protest and meekly let them force her to carry a heavy child in her lap for the whole trip.

Pfft. What are you going to do, fly American? Delta? Take the *snort* TRAIN!?
