Passengers, even if not Amazing, is a pretty decent movie overall. It would have been 100x better if the story had been told from the perspective of Lawrence’s character first, but still.

Anyone else plan on being “sick” on November 9 or 10?”

The show is worse than the books, which means the show writers are full of “literary merit”.

I’d argue that Chris Evans as Cap is as good, possibly better.

reeve fans delude themselves with nostalgia. he was good for his time but those movies don’t hold up to modern standards.

Watching every Christopher Reeve fan on the site reaching for their pitchforks.

If he makes more money from one movie than another season of The Witcher, what does it matter to him that the DCEU is a “sinking ship”? Not like Netflix keeps shows going for very long anyway.

Shurley you can't be serious?

Funny how the brain sees what it wants to see. I read:

Remedy played around with the idea in an interesting way with Quantum Break, with the game being one storyline and a live action episode between each game chapter telling a second story. But I think the difference is the “interactive” part, it’s a cohesive story that you play, and not sitting through a twenty-minute

That’s a fair point. And a narrative-driven game can be a great game, but the gameplay makes or breaks the experience, especially if it’s a mediocre slog between cinematics. The really good games make the cinematics and gameplay feel nearly seamless. I guess the key difference is that those games are well crafted as a

Yeah, that BotW2 post was silly and it is even sillier that they continue to refer to it as such. What a silly hill to die on. Kotaku is a silly place sometimes but the writers and community are far better than many of the other gaming sites out there.

Doom claims he is not “crass” yet he named the child after his first love...whom he murdered so he could turn her skin into magical armor.

Yeah it’s been an ambition games have had really since the early ‘90s, where the Wing Commander games were called “interactive movies” by their designers, but even they were far less narrowly scripted than stuff like CoD.

Narrator::” She really didnt”.

At this point, it feels like some AAA titles are more interactive movies than video games. Don’t get me wrong, that scene between Valeria and Alejandro is tense, well scripted, and the graphics are incredible. I would watch this movie, even though I’m not usually a huge fan of the genre. I’m not sure I want to play

How Long to Beat doesn’t give a good indication for what YOU might be able to do - that’s only true if YOU know where you stand in relation to the arbitrary capabilities of others. Otherwise, all it does is paint a picture of other people’s play histories, which means bubkiss to anyone else not described here.

I liked Plague Tale, but I’m a little worried about them saying the next one is going to be 3x longer. It was an excellent 4-5 hour game, not a grand epic
