RE DI could very well take place not long after Vendetta, which is only about a year after RE6 (and that ends in summer 2013). So Leon shouldn’t - and upon closer inspection, hasn’t - really aged since his *previous* chronological appearances, game included.

Nope, I got the same impression and asked the same questions as from the games:

Nah it’s likely a re-reboot or remake spinoff; a few years ago Ed Boon took a twitter poll of what spinoff titles we would like to see remade, and I believe Shaolin Monks (yes!) was the winner.
