Some 6-issue (or 5-issue) soft covers really do cost $20 nowadays, but this looks more like a limited print run that sold out in many places.

This is good news. Now we just need more people to buy the book so that it gets extended beyond 12 issues.

I'm currently reading three DC books monthly - Omega Men, Gotham Academy, and Prez. The Omega Men cancellation is a huge bummer, and it makes me doubt that DC will actually do a second Prez mini.

The first issue didn't do anything for me, so I haven't read any since then. Did you like the next two issues better than the first.

No, this one had only Mad Love, along with the original layouts and colors with notes from Timm. I'd probably preferred to have the one with all of Dini's stories, but that wasn't what I had. I borrowed it from the library, so I can't really complain.

Lazarus #19: An issue focused on supporting characters, and it was great. I mean, yeah, the cliffhanger at the end of #18 wasn't much of a cliffhanger, which Rucka even acknowledged in the letters section, but I think he did a pretty good job of selling it for this issue. Also great to see Casey be more of a bad ass.

I thought the art style was great for Kyle's and Kalista's stories, but it didn't work for me when it was just Kyle and Kalista in the cell.

Yeah, the resolution was incredibly rushed, but I think the creators were forced to cut the series short.

In single issues, I read Gotham Academy #9, Injection #4, and Kaijumax #5. I enjoyed all of these.

I'll second this. Snyder's Batman doesn't have the best reputation around here, but aside from Death of the Family, I've enjoyed what I've read. Plus the Court of Owls and Zero Year stuff is pretty self contained despite tie ins from lots of other books.
