So I got all excited that Marvel announced a Runaways title to be written by Noel Stevenson until I realized it was a Secret Wars title that appears to have absolutely nothing to do with the characters. I was worried that I'd be buying a $4 (or $5) Marvel book for a second there.

Here's hoping one of the three is Detective Chimp.

This came up in the letters after the first trade came out. If I remember correctly, Rucka said that the backmatter wasn't included in the trades to keep costs down and that the premium price on the hardcover would allow them to include it there.

I rolled my eyes at the mention that this issue took place before the events of Axis, so I can't imagine I'm going to enjoy a Secret Wars tie-in.

I love the hell out of Lazarus. This whole arc was great, but the fight to cap it off was just astounding.

The hardcover collection includes (some of) this stuff, and is well worth picking up if you enjoy the series.

I want to second the Nailbiter and Lazarus love. Lazarus is hands down my favorite thing published right now.

This is unquestionably the reason the only Marvel comic on my pull list is Ms. Marvel. I can't stomach paying $3.99 to $4.99 for their awful floppies. I do break down and buy a handful of trades (at discounted prices through Amazon), but ugh, their physical products are just so awful and cheap despite being more

I love Batman: Li'l Gotham. Holiday themed Bat-family stories suitable for the younger crowd.

I actually watched Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel because he was in it.

I like most of the writers at Comics Alliance and Multiversity Comics.

I had to force myself to finish Kill My Mother. The humor didn't connect with me, which made it hard for me to see past the one-dimensional (and uninteresting) characters. Maybe I'm being unfair?

My favorite book of the year has been Lazarus, hands down.

They're completely different books. I gave up on Satellite Sam after three issues. The first trade of Sex Criminals made me laugh out loud several times.

Lazarus #12: I love this book. Seeing all of the families get together is great. Excited to meet even more Lazaruses (Lazari?).

Honestly, the $3.99 price point is what keeps me away from most Marvel titles. Since Avengers Undercover got canceled, I'm only reading Ms. Marvel, which I'll probably end up dropping once they decide to increase the price. And the fact that these comics have ads and terrible paper quality compared to similarly

I don't think I'd describe it as hate. At the very least, she loves something about them.
