None of that was known to the police at the time of the shooting. Accordingly, they had no reason to assume he was not afforded his rights.

Yeah, I definitely browsed loosely myself. I completely agree that the only folks favoring the TSA are those who are financially benefitting from it, or afraid to challenge it and appear “soft on terrorism”, just wanted to point out that it’s really not unheard of for government agencies to fold.

This is fantastic. Frankly, organ donor status should be opt-out, rather than opt-in, but making this even marginally easier will save many, many lives and substantially increase the quality of life for those who’ve dealt with severe illness while waiting. Hooray for a genuinely great service from a corporation!

The idea that a police officer or a teacher deserves to wait longer (and possibly die waiting) for an organ transplant than a richer person is not a popular one, nor should it be.

Even taking a portion of the amount of soy and grain that’s currently being fed to livestock in order to produce meat could nearly eliminate world hunger. It’s not a production issue at all.

As a Celtics fan, I could not have been happier to trade away Doc. I hated him as a coach up until Ainge brought in the Big Three - and he absolutely did a great job coaching that roster, which needed a player’s coach to smooth out chemistry issues (and rein in Rajon) above all else.
