It would be nice to follow this up with a list of affordable, small space required hobbies. I know there are some obvious ones but you might open some new ones to people who like me live in a small space but want to create.
Rather than trying to count, I just sing the happy birthday song to myself twice through. Comes out to around 20 seconds.
The trick I learned in culinary school: wet hands, apply soap, sing The Happy Birthday Song twice while scrubbing, rinse.

Get a larger piece of scrap plywood to put down as a "floor" for working on a project. When not in use, stand it up behind an open room door or slide it under a bed, sofa, etc.
Binder clips because they come in different sizes and colours which makes organizing things even easier. White ones for food, red for clothes, black for books, blue for finance docs etc.
Without a doubt, binder clips FTW!
I use them in the kitchen to close bags, in my pantry to hang up drying herbs, to clip up curtains when I put in the AC, to clip together business cards in my bag, and to clip cables to my desk. Their uses are endless!
Sounds good but no use to me without an Android app.

thank you. while a dock can offer standing functionality, a stand is not a dock. . once a 'stand' has the requisite attribute of dockness (docking ports) it becomes a dock.
That's just a stand, not a dock. A dock would have a connector for the phone and some combination of other input/outputs. The original article calls it a stand.
